Ohaneze Ndigbo confers chieftaincy on Ekiti governor Fayose
Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose is set to be honoured with a chieftaincy title by the state’s branch of the Ohaneze Ndigbo.
Fayose’s Chief Press Secretary Idowu Adelusi revealed in a statement on Friday, November 18 that the fiery chief executive of Ekiti state will be given the title of Nwanne di na mba 1 of Igboland on Saturday, November 19.
The event was held to coincide with Igbo Cultural Day which holds at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti.
The event is expected to be witnessed by political office holders, permanent secretaries, senior government functionaries, traditional rulers, local government chairmen, supporters of the Governor and PDP leaders.
Meanwhile, Governor Fayose seems to be in deep trouble as a prosecuting witness has revealed how he reportedly received his share of the $2.1 billion meant for the purchase of arms.
The governor has been implicated in the ongoing probe of how the money was disbursed through the office of the former national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
