Algeria to arrive to Oyo ahead of super eagle clash
Nigeria’s opponents in Saturday’s 2018 World Cup qualifying game, Algeria, will arrive in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital on Thursday.
“The team will leave Algeria at 9 GMT (10am Nigerian time) on Thursday and arrive in Nigeria in the evening,” a source informed CompleteSports.
“They’re planning to take a direct flight to Uyo.”
The game will be played at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Nigeria will be seeking to extend their lead at the top of the African qualifying Group B.
The Super Eagles defeated Zambia 2-1 in Ndola in the first round of fixtures, while Algeria were held to a 1-1 draw by Cameroon.
Algeria’s new head coach, Georges Leekens, has named a strong squad for the encounter , with the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Islam Slimani, etc expected to do battle against Gernot Rohr’s men.
